Peter Burditt – FCCA

Speciality: Executive Coaching

Born in 1950, Peter has had more than 24 successful years’ experience in the financial sector at board level and another 14 rich years as a transformational consultant.

Peter is thriving at the age of nearly sixty and continuing his journey of being more than he ever dared. Educated in a seamen's orphanage in Brixham in Devon he set up a wholesale newspaper business at the age of 15 selling it for a six figure number at the age of 18, prior to training as an accountant with the atomic energy authority. Since then he has advised many companies and governments on energy and infrastructure projects around the world which has necessitated the welding together of many different trades and professions in order to transfer the energy where it lay to where it was needed in an environmentally acceptable way. In addition to being treasurer of P and O Steam Navigation Company and Head of Global Strategy for what is now Barcap, he has held other senior positions for major banks.

He set up his "change and coaching" consultancy 14 years ago which now serves some of the world's best known companies.

Peter helps people understand and respect each others gifts and the power of the individual in knowing when to individuate and when to dissolve the divisions for the benefit of the group endeavour. He blends powerful and pragmatic business experience with the understanding and patience of one that has risked, gained, suffered bereavement  and reinvented himself; he offers an intense ruthless compassion to change the way we think about ourselves and questions our concepts of who we are and what we might dare to be.

Peter’s coaching skills, which include the use of Gestalt and psycho synthesis techniques and processes, allow clients to break through barriers in their mindsets, consider empowering new strategic approaches and realize greater levels of fulfilment in their personal and professional lives. Peter supports clients to step out into the unknown where there are no precedents and to risk the loneliness of doing something for the first time only to realize that it is familiar to their sense of purpose, identity and destiny.

Peter trained in psychology with the London Gestalt Centre, as a coach and as a Gestalt Process Consultant. He practices the BACP code of conduct and is a Master Coach at the Academy of Executive Coaching.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and was FSA registered. He is also a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and an Accredited Executive Coach Supervisor. He lives in London or on his narrow boat, has two successful children and two grandchildren.
