Creativity - How do I rekindle it?

It’s natural, in the face of the current economic crisis, for executives and leaders to deny anything has really changed, and/or react by driving their employees even harder. But doing nothing, or what we did before only more of it, does not guarantee we will be successful a second time.

What is needed is for leaders and companies to rekindle and release their creativity and their ability to innovate once more. To find creative solutions to the problems and challenges they face today. Yet, this too, is not an off the shelf, plug in and play, solution that can be implemented over night. The creativity and imagination businesses need is locked inside the human potential of their employees.

Unfortunately, in our society, by the time most of us leave education we have had the innate creativity we had as children drilled or drummed out of us. But let us be clear by what we mean by creativity or more importantly who can be creative. It’s not just artists, actors and advertising “types” who are creative. Anybody’s creativity can be rekindled with profound results for themselves and the businesses within which they work. And while the ‘creative arts’ can play a profound role in awakening individual creativity, at The Wild Peak, we believe being creative is defined by your ability to truly ‘see’ where others may not. To see your own and others potential; to see the possibility of overcoming the limitations that prevent that potential being unleashed; and to see the seeds of future change in the best of the past and present.

The Wild Peak’s creativity team has years of experience helping reactivate creativity and its full expression.
